  • As an Autism Aide (aka Direct Support Professional (DSP)/in-home caregiver), you will help adults on The Autism Spectrum achieve their personal goals and have fun while doing so. The people you support love to do fun activities like listening to music, swimming, going to the arcade, thrift store shopping, and going for walks.

    You will have the opportunity to help the people we support with daily activities including chores, cooking, personal hygiene, and medication. All the training you need is on-site and paid. This job is perfect for anyone who is looking to have fun and love what they’re doing!

  • The items below are some essential job functions of a Direct Support Professional. Please state whether you are able to perform these functions with or without accommodation.

  • Are you willing and able to assist a person with personal hygiene needs (toileting, showering, toothbrushing, etc.?*
  • Would you be willing and able to kneel, hold, and lift/carry at least 50 lbs. from the floor in order to physically assist and/or restrain people as part of their behavior support plan?*
  • Do you have the physical ability to move quickly in order to ensure the safety of people receiving support?*
  • Employment at CTA requires the use of technology in many forms, entering data online, use of multiple mobile apps, and electronic communication. Are you able to meet these requirements?*
  • In order to effectively communicate with the people we support (understand and implement their behavior plans and assist with medical needs) are you able to independently read, write, speak, and understand English?*
  • Background Check

    After an employee is hired, a criminal background check, a child abuse registry check, and a Medicaid Fraud database check will be completed.
